Getting Started
1. Opening NoteStory
- Look for the NoteStory icon in your Start Menu
- Or double-click the desktop shortcut (if you created one during installation)
- The main control panel window will appear

2. Creating Your First Note
- Click the โ (plus) button in the bottom-right corner of the control panel
- A new yellow sticky note will appear on your screen
- Start typing right away – no need to click anything first!

Working with Notes
Writing and Formatting
- Type your text in the note
- Select text you want to format
- Click the formatting buttons at the bottom:
- B = Bold
- I = Italic
- U = Underline
- H = Heading styles
- โข = Bullet list
- 1. = Numbered list
- “ = Quote
- </> = Code style
- Link = Add a web link

Adding Images
- Click the ๐ท (camera) icon button at the bottom of the note
- Choose how to add your image:
- Choose File – Select an image from your computer
- Paste – Use Ctrl+V to paste an image from clipboard
- Drag & Drop – Drag an image file into the note

Changing Colors
- Click the ๐จ (palette) icon at the top of the note
- Click on your favorite color
- The note instantly changes to that color

Moving and Resizing Notes
- Move: Click and drag the top bar of the note
- Resize: Click and drag the edges or corners of the note
- Your changes are saved automatically

Closing a Note
- Click the โ button at the top-right corner
- Don’t worry – your note is NOT deleted, just hidden
- You can open it again anytime from the control panel

Managing Your Notes
The Control Panel
The main window shows all your notes in one place:
- Each note appears as a card showing a preview of its content
- See when each note was last updated
- Notes marked with “Open” are currently visible on your desktop

Finding Notes
Use the search bar at the top:
- Search by text – Type any word to find notes containing it
- Filter by color – Click the color picker to show only notes of that color
- Filter by date – Choose from:
- All notes
- Today’s notes
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days

Opening Notes Again
- Simply click on any note card in the control panel
- The note window will appear on your screen

Deleting Notes
- Click the ๐๏ธ (trash) button on the note card
- Confirm you want to delete it
- The note is permanently removed

You can create new notes in two ways:
From the Control Panel:
- Click the โ button in the bottom-right corner
From Any Note Window:

- Choose “New Note” from the menu

When you close the main window:
- NoteStory doesn’t quit – it just hides
- Look for the NoteStory icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner of Windows, near the clock)
- Click the tray icon to show the main window again
- Right-click the tray icon for options:
- Open – Show the main window
- Quit – Close NoteStory completely
